Holiday with teenagers as a single mum

Hi
I am a newly single mum with two teenage boys (17 & 15).. We're going to be taking our first family holiday as a 3 and I'm looking for help.
We plan to go away for 10 days at the end of July (I know I'm very late booking this..!) Both boys say they want to lounge around the pool and the beach but I know they'll need things to keep them busy/occupied too... So do you have any recommendations for hotels/resorts in Europe preferably that are good for teens (so there are other teens to hang out with preferably) and that won't make me feel like I stick out like a sore thumb being on my own...
It's all a bit daunting and I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed - but they deserve a good holiday as it's been a tough six months..
THanks

what is your budget?

I'd go for a campsite type holiday if I were you, then there's lots of activities and entertainments laid on if they want to take advantage and there'll be plenty of other teenagers around to socialise with.

You'll get some time to yourself that way too!

Have a fab time - my single mum holidays with teen DD have been amazing without the stress of having to do things that ExH wanted to do and we didn't half the time!

I always drove my teens ( plus a friend each) to a huge campsite in St Raphael in Sough of France. It was geared uo for teens with great pools and disco at nights. You could always guarantee the weather and it only took a couple of days to get there ( we liked to stop half way down and stay in a motel)
Sorry can't remember what it was called but I think it was a keycamp site

Take yourself a good book and your headphones to listen to music.

Hope you find a suitable place and all have a chilled time 😎🍾

I'm taking 2 boys away on my own this summer, 10 & 16

We're doing a few days in Barcelona, sightseeing, eating tapas, stadium tour.

Then we go down to Cambrils and are staying in a hotel with pool and doing a few days at Port Aventura theme park.

Should keep them happy!

Seriously though I think any of the Balearics are a safe bet with teens. I'm taking my 14 & 15 yo to Menorca. Ds doesn't mix too well so we are doing a villa just the 3 of us. I'll take them to the water parks & beach or just chill by the pool. Can't bloody wait Smile

I took my two boys to corfu last year,in safari. Booked with tui.
It had a pool and was a few minutes walk to the beach. We had a boat trip and also a trip to corfu town.
Came in at £1,200 for a week in August. We self catered but I brought tea bags, cereal etc in the cases so all we needed was to buy lunch and an evening meal.
How exciting for you, hope you find some great ideas on here. You wont look unusual being a single mum as there are alot of us...have fun

Hotel El Paso Portaventura. All inclusive and unlimited access to Portaventura which is a few mins walk.

We did Estival Park before and that's good for teenagers - had a deal where you got unlimited free entry to waterpark nearby (it was via TUI or First Choice), beach nearby, entertainment on site and pools. Barcelona is an hour or so away. Very easy as AI and lots close by for teenagers and WIFI.

We did try camping once for a few days but DS said it was a near death experience for him as no WIFI and he screamed at insects. But can also get mobile homes with WIFI. We stayed in a Prestige one once by St Tropez at Domaine des Naidades and that was fine for teenagers 50 metre pool, waterslide, bands playing in evening rock music once a week, beach walking distance and watersports from beach. Had dishwasher, massive TV, leather sofa, 2 bathrooms, coffee maker, etc.

Further but would be in 6k budget and great for teenagers we did RUI Guanacaste in Costa Rica - includes AI, windsurfing, beach, pool, kayaks, SUP, set in rainforest, was a coati and raccoons and geckos wandering round hotel and monkeys 50 metres down beach. Next door there's a zipline at Diamante few hundred metres in air at 60mph and there's trips to see sloths, active volcanos,, ziplines, white water rafting etc. That was via TUI and again super easy.
