I'm a teacher and we're not going away this Summer. Planning holiday October half term with dh and ds, will be 20 months old then. Want to be able to paddle in sea! Where can we go where weather will be warm enough? Not Canaries though. Thinking South of France? Portugal? Corsica? Anyone experienced these areas in October? Other suggestions welcome.

It does really depend, but the south of France should be fine, as will the other places you suggest. If you decide for south of France, I can suggest places!

Yes please aznerak! Could really do with help narrowing down bewildering choice of location, accomm etc in south of France.

South of France can be good but can equally be very dodgy for October. Possibly ok for older children who can run around to keep warm but littlies would struggle.

It may be better to consider Turkey, Greece, etc
