Day trip to Barcelona

So I'm staying in Pineda de mar and thinking of taking the train to Barcelona tomorrow. Does anyone have any ideas of things to do with a 7 year old for a few hours? It needs to be local to the train station.

That's exactly the trip we did in the summer!! The train journey was lovely, very scenic along the coast. We then went on one of the sightseeing buses around Barcelona which you can hop on / off. We had a lovely wander around the harbour, and around the football stadium. We avoided Las Ramblas (sp?) which is apparently full of pickpockets. Have a great day!

Second open top bus. Easiest way to get around if you have a short amount of time. Careful around the station if you come in to Sants (not sure where train brings you in to) . It is rife with pickpockets (but then that's a general rule all over Barcelona!)
