We are planning to spend two weeks in Thailand in October. I’m looking for advice on traveling there with our 2 year old. We would like to stay somewhere near to the beach and not too touristy or busy.
Thanks in advance.

We stayed in Koh Chang with our two year old earlier this year.Flights from Bangkok to Trat and then the ferry across or else a 5 hour taxi ride and ferry. KC is not as touristy as Phuket where we stayed last year although my DH preferred the sea in Phuket.
Alternatively you could fly to Krabi and go to Koh Lanta.I've never been but both Koh Lanta and Koh Chang were recommended for kids.

We stayed in Bangkok and Khao Lak with our 15 month old in April! He loved the aquarium in Bangkok. We stayed at the Sands hotel in Khao Lak which was incredible, the kids indoor soft play area was brilliant to take him to especially after lunch when it was so hot!

In Thailand I actually would recommend the touristy areas because that’s where you have most for toddlers. Bangkok, Phuket, Ko Samui are the best for toddlers. If you are white / black / mixed race just be careful because East Asian tourists may want to hold your toddler / take selfies with them, sometimes just taking them out of pushchairs to do it. No harm is meant but I’d suggest locking them down in their harness / pushchair so that can’t happen.

Another one to recommend khao lak or phuket. Don't do a place with a speedboat transfer as they aren't ideal with a toddler!
