Anywhere its not raining and where there is stuff for a 6yo to do. Don't care if we fly or drive, camp or villa.

Need to leave either 4th or 11th of August. Neer gone abroad anywhere apart from skiing so don't know where to go.

Have a budget of £300, excluding spending money. Is it doable????

don't think so.

i've been looking and no luck.

you need to be looking at at leat £1000 even for camping really.

it's bloody school holidays isn't it?

Thought I was missing something but maybe not. I'm sure in previous years I have seen last minute deals even in the holidays to Spain for £129 per person (its only me and dd).

Arggghhhh am so depressed by shitty weather. Am meant to be camping in Dorset next weekend for a week. Think we may not bother.

don't do the campiong!!!
read the thread about my camping experience this weekend!

even the ones that say a cheap deal, by the time you have added all the taxes on and flight supplements and under occupancy supplements-it costs a fortune.

i am so fed up of the idea of no sun the year-it's just too depressing for words!

How about camping in France...Something like this for around
£192 for 7 nights and the ferry crossings for £170ish

padfoot · 22/07/2007 18:53

we just booked a last min deal with going places £400 all inc. per person, so there must be HB options out there for £300 (or does £300 need to include food?) If you go to their website and search under "last min" or similar they list the locations with dates and prices based on RO, BB, HB, AI.
There are good deals on the teletext holidays website but the one I rang never rang me back

filchthemildmanneredjanitor · 22/07/2007 18:54

but £400 pp equals £800!!!

i understood it that her budget was £300 all in!

I found a ferry crossing for £60 and was thinking about camping in France. But I would be too scared to drive to far and dh pointed out the weather in Brittany may be very similar to Southern England.

Have decided to keep my fingers crossed and pray teh rain stops. I can put our camping trip back by up to 2 weeks if needed. Surely by mid August the weatehr will be better!!
