Is BA Club Europe worth it?

We are flying BA to Mykonos and on our flight out, Club Europe is £80 more than standard with baggage. Is it worth it? I need the points to get to the next level, unless I get an upgrade deal on any other flights.

BA club aint what it used to be,but it is better than economy and you get the lounge. For flights over 3.5hours I think its worth having the spare seat to stretch out to,but for short flights not sure.

Usually, no. Better to get an extra legroom seat in economy. But depending on which BAEC level you will reach, it might be worth it for that.

It's really only worth it for lounge access, I think, in short haul.

I decided to book standard fair in the end. I looked online and I can still upgrade if I really really need the points for £110. Not really worth it though, and for that price, I have a sneaky feeling I'll get an email of an offer to upgrade soon enough.

Worth it for the lounge. I usually get in really early and chill there.

I fly every few weeks Club Europe as my parents live abroad (1 hour flight) - I find for the difference the use of the quicker bag drop, security, lounge at Gatwick, extra space on board and quick exit makes it worth it on the way there, less so on the way back (small airport with no lounge, fast track security etc). So if doing it one way is an option I’d bear that in mind.
