buggys and wedding dresses on planes

do i have to tell the airline that I am taking a buggy? they take them for free but i am now panicking!

also, i need to take my wedding dress, will they let me or do i need to pack it which will spoil it? am flying to france with bmi

Spongecake - no, no need to tell them in advance, you tell them at check in, they give you a label for it, and it's usually OK to leave it at the gate or foot of aircraft steps. No idea about wedding dress.

My dad got married in america and my step mums dress went in the hold along with the suits and our bridesmaids dresses. But that was with virgin and they also booked the wedding with virgin. Anyway although it was worrying whether it would get to other end it was all packed really well and had fragile stickers etc. Maybe worth giving bmi a call and check with them. Buggy's you can take to gate etc and no need to pre warn
