Just a lighthearted useful thread for everyone travelling this summer.
Dont pack too much you never wear all off it.
You most certainly will not wear all of the makeup it will melt in the heat.
A pack of cards is a lifesaver.
Pegs of travel clips stop clothes blowing away when drying on balcony.
Inflatables brought from home pound shop or home bargains super cheap.

Extension cable so you can charge all your electricals. I take a washing line as well as pegs

After last year's holiday you think you know exactly what will suit everyone. You are wrong because the DC are a year older and priorities have changed.
In fact you will spend 18 (or more) years trying to choose holidays to please everyone and never quite get it right.

Great thread!
Just got back from holidays yesterday so it's fresh advice Grin
-Don't let your dc buy the biggest pool inflatable in the shop, you will feel self consious every time they march proudly into the pool area with it! In fact the first resort had a ban on them full stop..awkward.
-Only 2 pairs of footwear are really needed - metallic flip flops and a sturdy sandal for walking.
-Take salt, pepper, few spices/herbs in a small pot if you are self catering. I always buy some local olive oil once there as will bring it home if I don't use it all.

  • Don't erect an umbrella on a beach on a mildly breezy day. The locals will smirk at you when it blows down after a few gusts of wind!
-Always take earphones (for the plane) and earplugs for noise. Invaluable. -Don't bother with any tight clothing, you will not want to wear it after a few days all inclusive binge eating/drinking!

All of this advice is to me really Grin
