Abroad for first time with child

Taking my child abroad for the first time this summer. Nothing booked yet. But I've been looking. Am I better booking everything individually? Or going with a package holiday? Also would we get a good deal goinglast minute?

would you consider All Inclusive? something like this in cyprus includes flights, the hotel and waterpark tickets x

We've just come back from Club Marvy in Turkey with our 5 and 8 year olds. Absolutely fantastic would totally recommend it.
