Stockholm with a toddler, accomodation recommendations

We are toying with trying to visit Stockholm for a week late august/early September, me, my partner, our 2 year old and my elderly mother. Any cheapish self catering recommendations or areas to stay? I really fancy the lovely hotel breakfasts but don't think we can afford a hotel, plus probably need to cook evening meals, both for money saving and to get my child to eat!

We are considering the archipelago but need somewhere with some facilities and access to other islands, as well. Anyone got any tried and tested air b and b recommendations? Or others?

Not in Stockholm and would need a hire car but a B&B with lots of alpacas and pool here - we are staying there for couple of days this summer:

Airbnb may have something or Novosol. Prices generally cheaper out of Stockholm but you would need to hire car so may cancel out.

If you are flying with Ryanair into Stockholm Vasteras this place might be nice (not been but we are doing a beaver safari in a canoe from there). edensgarden.se/en

There's also a few in Skinnskattesberg by lots of wildlife (moose, beavers etc). School house one is reasonably priced and does lovely homemade food.

Hopefully someone else we know one in Stockholm - stayed there once but can't remember where and was 10ish years ago. We are doing Sweden and Norway this summer and Airbnb was good for getting nice places for reasonable price with reviews.
