Flight time to Malaga

Can anyone tell me please? From Gatwick to Malaga, google says 2h30 - 2h50 but does that include the taxiing time etc before takeoff?

Nb: flying phobic here, the shorter the better.

It's usually from when the plane pushes back from the stand to landing.

Just looked at Flightradar24 which shows times from take off to landing. Looks to generally to between 2.05 and 2.25 depends on wind, route, ATC etc

Think when I did it it was 2hr 45 ish. Certainly under 3 hours from push back uk to docking in Malaga.

Airport has always been so quick to get luggage too.

Doing stansted to Malaga this year!

Ah so it's longer than Gatwick to balearics then. I've done Majorca and Ibiza the last couple of years and that really seemed my limit.

I've done Majorca and Malaga. Not much difference in flight times and certainly didn't feel enough to sway my decision.
Did costa Brava last year and that felt really short in comparison. Realistically it's about 20-30 minutes less!

It's further away than the Balearics, so it takes longer to get there, but not much.

The time you've got from google is likely to include taxi-ing etc, as we flew from Leeds to Malaga a couple of weeks ago and the flight time was about 2.5 hours on the way there and just under 3 hours on the way back and obviously about 200 miles further, which I think is about half an hour or so of flight time.
