Koh Samui hotels for family of 4

I have provisionally booked something for early July but it’s 2 villa rooms which could turn out to be nice - girls are 12 and 15 but a family suite is preferable.
Reckon availability will be limited so close to arrival but would like to consider another option.
Any suggestions?

Tongsai bay have a family cottage.
It’s beautiful but not cheap.
It’s not far from the fisherman’s village near the north of the island
Absolutely loved it there. We took our teens 2 years ago.

just seen a really nice hotel - Shasa in Laem Set but the compromise for price is location. It seems a bit remote and the beach maybe not so nice but accommodation looks very good.
Anyone with experience of Laem Set?

My friends stayed at the Anantara on the south of the island.
All inclusive and said it was fab.
The south has better, softer beaches than the north.

Try Ricky's Boutique Resort, Lamai. Absolutely beautiful!

Sorry - Rocky's, not Ricky's Grin

Does it have to be Samui? Koh Phangan is just a half hour boat trip away, and in general a lot cheaper. Thon Nai Pan Yai beach in the East is beautiful, good for swimming all year round, (not always the case in the Gulf that time of year) and has a good variety of hotels and villas. The island itself is stunning, and you can hire a car for a few days to explore.

Rocky's and Anantara booked out for our dates. Will def have a look of Phangan!

Go speak to Trailfinders.
They are very informative and may have the dates available.

I did this holiday planning a few years ago - gave up in the end and decided Koh Samui just not geared up for families with teens - they just haven't built many family bungalows, suites.

Just returning to thread. In the end I’ve reserved for the same hotel a family room which doesn’t cover all our dates but for the remaining time got luxury villa for a really good price on the south of the island. Accommodation for this one looks very swish but the compromise is that it’s remote and not much going on which I’m fine with for the last few nights of the holiday.

taxi's are quite cheap if you want to get about Op.

yes, that's the plan - no excuse for being stuck anywhere!
