Has anyone been to the Medieval Banquet in London?

BIL and DN are coming to stay with us for a couple of weeks and we were thinking of going to the medieval banquet in London.

Is that the one in St. Katharine's Dock? I went a few years back with work and it was... OK. I don't remember a huge amount about it, except that either the house wine or the house beer was not very nice so I switched to drinking whatever the other one was. They have slightly cheesy entertainment along the lines of conjurors, dancing, etc., with audience participation. I've been to a medieval banquet elsewhere that I thought was better (but, to be fair, was probably more expensive too).

I've been to both this one and one at Hatfield House. Hatfield House was better but both were years ago so it could all be different now.

I seem to remember the drink at the London one being awful as well

Was one of the worst places have ever been dragged to.

I went to the one in St Katherines Dock for a works Xmas do and it was crap - food was awful, wine and mead even worse. IIRC we left early and went to the pub!

The following year we went to a pearly kings and queens one run by the same company in Tottenham Court Road and that was even worse.

Go to a nice restaurant - much better value for money - Chiquito's in Lesicester Square is yummy - or any Chinese in Soho mmmmmm...
