Rome hotel recommendations?

Short break (3 nights) with 2 teenage boys. Can anyone recommend a hotel not too far from the sights/walkable or easy transport, pref with pool? As August, so hot. There seem to be a few near Vatican area but quite a trek from city centre?

Hotel de Russie has an indoor pool and is within an easy walk of most major attractions. Books, magazines, movies, games, games consoles and content protected Wi-Fi are available upon request.
