Hawaii?

Anyone been to Hawaii with children? Did they enjoy it? Can you recommend a hotel?

We did Hawaii back in 2012. My children were aged 12 and 8. We stayed on Ohau for 4 nights I think. One night in Honolulu and then three nights in the Disney resort Aulani. We then flew to Big Island and stayed in a self catering apartment. We saw some amazing sights on Big Island. The Active volcano and a great submarine trip. One night we drove up to the Mauna Kea observatories, we couldn't go all the way to the top as the children were too young so we stopped at the visitor center. It was amazing for the children to see the milky way so clearly.

We did Hawaii as part of a trip to California. So we did Disneyland before we flew to Hawaii and San Francisco and Yosemite before we flew home again. The jet lag was tough after that trip though.
