Thomas Cook collapse

Just seen on the news that Thomas Cook is on the brink of collapse. I know holidays with them are ATOL protected, however I'm concerned. Have a holiday booked with them in July. Does anyone know what would actually happen? Would I get a refund and have to look for another holiday?

I fly with them in 11 days Shock This was in the FT today:

From the Financial Times..

"Nervous flyers do not even have to wait that long for the uncertainty to end. Multiple bids for Thomas Cook’s airline have now been received, with some analysts suggesting the group could land a debt-reducing £1bn deal. In the meantime, queasiness may be overcome by that £300m facility, which will more than see Thomas Cook through the winter season, by which time even a delayed airline deal ought to have arrived."

Fingers crossed

Ah that's reassuring, thank you.

I don't think I'll relax until I've checked into the hotel though, not too bothered about getting home Wink
I think it is a lot of scaremongering by the media which doesn't help. Sad

I'm going in June. I initially panicked, now I feel reassured. It's our delayed honeymoon!

Good luck with your holidays everyone.

I fly in 13 days, I feel reassured that all will be ok. I think the tabloids are scaremongering
