Anyone know Palma particularly well?

We have a day in Port. 7 am until 5 pm. Not sure what to do for the day. DS will be 11. Any suggestions for something fun? Our other ports will be city sightseeing so this is definitely a day for him. Thanks.

Palma aquarium is lovely.

On the road to Arenal (about half hour from Palma) there's an Aqualand waterpark. Are buses from Palma bus station (big place underground) or you could taxi. Then you're not far from Arenal beach if you want lots of sand, sea and young people drinking...

There is a little train that runs along the front from el arenal. Also you could get a bus into town to the cathedral.
