Interesting short break for mum and kids in summer hols?

Hello!

I am looking to take my 9 and 11 year old on a short break this summer. We’d like to do something active/nature based and a bit different. Ideally no more than 4 nights (poss 5) and not too much travel/driving. (I.e. not whole days cooped up in a mini bus)

I don’t want to cook or hire a car so I was looking at tour type packages. (Think mule trekking in the Atlas Mountains) I’ve started off looking at the explore family holidays and heard Iescapes were good. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

At the other end of the spectrum, I’ve also debated on a PGL UK type hol. But these seem quite expensive if you have only one adult.

I’m open to all ideas!

My friend went pony trekking in Spain. That sounded a great holiday and she went for less than a week. You look up short courses; surfing or rick climbing. for example as they often offer accommodation if abroad.
I looked at Explore too as I was a single parent of one. I couldn’t justify the cost in the end and we went on a cheap cruise deal. That was good as we got to see lots of “places”. Not so idea with three in a cabin maybe.
Hope you have a fab time wherever you end up,
