Partner visa -Australia

I am currently applying for a partner visa for Australia. My DH is an Australian citizen (born and brought up there). I am a UK citizen.

We have been married 6.5 years and have 2 children. I have submitted the first part of my application for a partner visa.

When it asked me if I am related to my husband through blood or marriage, I put yes through marriage as I am married to him Hmm
It seemed to me a really stupid question as all married couples are related through marriage.
And in the comments box I (rather sarcastically) explained my relation to my husband through out marriage Blush

But now reading an application guide, it says I should have confirmed that I am not related to my husband. As in I have not married a sibling etc.

Will my application be rejected based on this mistake?

Really stressing now as I have paid over £4k.

I don't know if you will be rejected or allowed but at one point after they asked an email question, I did send a very snippy answer back to them. They survived.
It was over eight months into the process, though, so I think we on both sides were tired of it all. We were not a standard check/approval so don't take our timeline as the norm.

Are you using an agency? I did and it was worth the cost as they checked everything with a virtual microscope and answered any queries. I used GoMatilda. Don't know if they're still in business. It was a stressful process. Good luck

They emailed me to ask a query about my application that I'd filled out wrong. I gave the correct answer and they amended it for me. Email them now to say you misunderstood the question and aren't related by blood or marriage. They should be pretty flexible about something that minor.

@Mummaofmytribe
No I'm not using an agency, just going straight through the immi website.

@Rtmhwales
Thanks, yes I'll try and email them and explain my mistake. Hopefully all will be ok.
