Good restaurant in Portsmouth for 2 families

Hello
We're sailing from Portsmouth at 2300 on a Monday night and wanted to meet up for a meal (4 adults, 4dcs aged 13 & 11) beforehand.
Can anyone recommend a good restaurant (not overpriced) but somewhere that is not too far from the port?
Many thanks (out tonight but will check on my return)

Gunwharf Quays has a huge selection of different restaurants from Burger King to Loch Fyne. I would suggest you head there and take your pick!

do you live in Southsea, LL?
I spent 3 years there, mainly Green Road.
Is the Pompey Bottle Shop still open?

Tortington · 19/07/2007 01:12

oh it's about gunwharf and the ferry to IOW. DOes gunwharf have a Clarks outlet? Is it any good? Can we park at Gunwharf? How long should we allow to get from there to IOW ferry? Not an exciting question but thanks for offering

Tortington · 19/07/2007 01:51

you live on the IOW?

why not get the fast cat and get the train

Can I just say thank you so much for all your help - Gunwharf it is then and many thanks for the map! Is it worth getting there earlier to have a look round the town then? It certainly sounds as though it is - never been to Portsmouth before!
Soo looking forward to it - thanks again xx
