Hi kids are 13.where can we go that isn't national trust or a museum. We seem to be in a rut of going to the same old places. Kids are at a funny age of not liking places they used to love.

Cheddar? Might not be that interesting (I grew up there so can’t tell anymore if it’s unteresting or not 😄) - caves, climb Jacobs ladder, they could probably do a rock climbing session? Ice cream, crazy golf.

Not been to bear grylls but want to!
Love Forest - they also have downhill biking with an uplift service.
Theres the activity centre at chepstow too.
Ooh & escape rooms in Bristol if you've not been

Cheddar used to have an open air swimming pool, as did Portishead.

Perhaps try Cardiff on Tripadviser. That's about 45 minutes.

There is Bowood House in Wiltshire.

Escape Hunt Bristol
Cotswold Water Park - windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing, inflatable rides, canoeing, boat hire & swimming! Or you could keep it simple and relax on one of their large inflatable bananas.
Brean Splash Waterpark. My dc loved the gimmicky new disco slide where you choose your tune and listen to it with flashing lights on your way down!
Oasis Leisure Centre, Swindon. As well as the large swimming pool, there’s a lagoon, an open topped water slide, wave machine, water canon and a triple hydro slide.
Centreparcs Longleat is just under an hour and you can use the subtropical swimming centre.
Museum of computing, Swindon

Thanks all some great ideas of places we haven't been to before plus some of our favourites. Strangely we've never been to Brean I'm trying to figure out why! Cardiff is probably 1 hour 20 rather than 45 mins but we do pop over to Wales and I've got the Cardiff water centre on my list. Sadly mine think they're too old for Wookey hole or Slimbridge now, they won't even go to the zoo!
Bear grylls centre looks amazing!
