Alentejo reachable from Faro

Hi, we are flying into Faro for a 6 day visit. Would like to head inland and visit some of the Alentejo. What is reachable and nice to visit? Looking for small towns and traditional Portuguese culture.

Évora is a UNESCO world heritage site and just over 2 hrs drive. It has a Roman temple plonked in the centre and a wonderfully intact centre. Serpa is smaller but a bit closer and it has a moorish castle and remarkably well-preserved aqueduct. The drive back from Serpa to Faro is stunning.
