Amsterdam in October

So DH and I have booked a mini-moon in October to Amsterdam, we wanted somewhere with a short flight time and a place with quite a bit to do and see.

However we have no idea what we want to do.
So far we have the Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank's house, a canal tour and the Heineken Tour to look at but can anyone recommend anything else? We have 3.5 full days in the city.
Any restaurant recommendations?

Also what is the weather typically like?

Thank you in advance for all the help!

Good local pub nearby but can't think of the name?

I believe Delf is very nice last time we went we didn't have time to go, we went to Marken on a local bus, then ferry to Volendam then bus to Edam, easy in a day but check as Edam often has festivals on so worth looking out for one.
