Hi All,
Me and my DP, after a month of trying to find a destination we would both like to visit for our first holiday together, have settled on Thessaloniki, Greece. However I just wanted to see if anyone had been there before and what their thoughts were of it?
-As a couple, we prefer long walks and nice restaurants to drinking/clubbing and want to experience local culture and hopefully not too much of a 'Brits Abroad' type of feel to the place
-We are travelling in October so anyone with any experience of the weather around this time of year would be appreciated.
-Rather than a package holiday, we are going to use Air BnB for an apartment, we are looking for somewhere close to the beach, with good views and at least a one bedroomed apartment. If anyone again has any recommendations of where they've stayed before that would be fantastic.
It's all just in the excited, planning stage now but if anyone has any Air BnB recommendations and also experience of being there around October time and any restaurants that are good/places to visit, it would be really appreciated!
