Canaries February half term?

I want to get away with my mum and DDs next year. I can’t do Easter and already have hols planned with DH later on the year (big birthday trip).

DH hates resort holidays but I fancy a relaxing week AI so considering the canaries. I know it will be cold for swimming but checked out Siam Park and that is open. Anyone been at this time of year? Is there plenty to do if the weather is cold?

February is the worst month to go to the Canaries. Not so much for the cold but chances of rain are high. Some years are good, some years are bad.
This said, of all the islands, Tenerife will offer the most to do in bad weather but you will definitely need a car if you want to go around.
You need to pick an hotel with heated pool. Costa adele palace has a heated outdoor pool + an indoor pool.
How old are your daughters?

Much as I love the Canaries and Siam parc it probably wouldn't be warm enough in February. You will get warm sunny days and if your hotel has a heated pool that's great but for the water park you need scorching hot weather as there is a lot of walking about while soaking wet. I've been in June and felt a bit chilly.
If it's only a week and you pick a decent hotel with entertainment you will be fine.

Thanks for the replies. Kids will be 12 and 9. I might look into European Centre Parks instead. Access to water slides is a must.

Hmmm im not sure that there is a lot to if weather is cold. But lanzarote has timanfaya etc and enough sightseeing to fill a week if you hire a car and tour the island.

But a center park in February sounds quite miserable. What about Mexico? www.allritmocancun.com/actividades/
