How to get from Istanbul to resort

Wondering about a resort on coast to stay in following few days in Istanbul. Also trying to get to grips about how to travel there.?Kalkan? Izmir? Bodrum? Or somewhere else?

Internal flights in turkey are quite cheap, a flight to bodrum can be less than £50 and takes just over an hour, bus takes around 8 hours.

Missing the point... Have you been to Kalkan? Gorgeoousit is... short cheap flight from Istanbul

It might be better to leave from Sabiha Gokcen airport rather then the new massive airport. Apparently it's a nightmare to navigate. Depends where you're staying in Istanbul of course!

Currently writing this in Antalya after 3 nights in Istanbul (Turkish Airlines) Flying home direct with Thomas Cook on the tourist flights.

If you want to go to Kalkan it's better to fly to Dalaman airport.If you fly to Izmir you can go to Cesme or Kusadasi and use the Havas bus to get to both.
Apparently, flights from Sabiha airport on the Asian side are more expensive as the authorities want travellers to use the new airport.Allow plenty of time to get there.Istanbul traffic is a nightmare.

We went from Lara Beach to Istanbul on internet flight. Taxi to airport at beach resort, train from Istanbul airport to City.
It's a nice mix

We did Lara Beach in Antalya after Istanbul. Internal flights for 5 of us from the new airport were only £120.

Sabiha airport is not much further than the new airport but more traffic in that direction so be careful when choosing where to fly from.

Fly from Sabiha or new airport - both are fine and working well

Fly to Dalaman for Fethiye/Kalkan

Or Antalya

There are buses right outside the airport when you get off that will take you to most of the main tourist centres
