Just that really!
Have always done Mark Warner and loved the biggest one in Rhodes but fancy a change

We love to sail, play tennis and cycle.

Seems there are so many!

Been to lemnos and a few of the Turkish ones that have now sadly closed.
Lemnos near a lovely harbour village, great pool, good food. Basic accommodation, poor beach

Thanks Hollow.
Any idea on which is best for sport?
Have you been to any MW and can compare?

No not been to mw. If you speak to them they'll go through with you which sports are best at which resorts. Number of tennis courts will be key

Family or Adults only?
Buca or Messini get my vote.
The tennis is really well done, lots of cycling options but we haven't been lucky with the wind.

We have booked The Retreat in Sivota for Aug. It looks stunning but is set on a hill (think steps) and is known for its lack of wind.. think kayaking and SUP. So it might be one you can rule out?!

We’ve been to Messini twice, loved it. Buca very nice if adult only.

Like @Hollowvictory we've been to Lemnos. I largely agree with her assessment. Beach was ok though and sailing was good. DH got a lot of tennis in and we both enjoyed the cycling. DC were very happy with the food. DD and I really enjoyed the yoga and Pilates. There was a lot of very competitive volleyball!

We're going to the new one in Calabria in Italy in August (Airone). DH thinks the tennis looks good and the accommodation looks nice. Love Neilson - a proper holiday from life!

@sandybayley Just wondering if you enjoyed your holiday? We are considering booking it but the reviews seem a little mixed.

sandybayley · 02/01/2020 23:02

@ByAppointmentTo - we did but I preferred Lemnos. I think it's more expensive than Airpne but it's worth it. I don't think Airone gave quite got up to Nielsen standards yet. And there were a lot of potholes when we went cycling!

ByAppointmentTo · 03/01/2020 09:23

@sandybayley Many thanks for your reply. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. We had an amazing Neilson holiday a few years ago and will be disappointed if we go somewhere that isn't up to that standard.

We went to Airone this summer too, but that was first time we went to Nelson, only done MW before (Lemnos). The pool was far better at Airone, but if you sail, then the week we were there was tricky- too much wind, then no wind, changing direction all the time. DD was annoyed as didn't get as much sailing in as she wanted. I appreciate they can't control the weather but Lemnos wind was uniform all time we were there.
The pool was fairly naff at mw though.

We didn't cycle I'm afraid, but I heard the road routes were a little hairy, but views outstanding.
Food was fine at each (but I'm not a gourmand!)
