Mid/Long Haul in September

YerWeeGobshite · 03/05/2019 18:30

My sister and I go away every year in September, usually somewhere in Europe. We fancy somewhere a bit further afield this year. Budget about £600 each for 5-7 days.

We don’t mind a flight up to about 8 hours. Obviously hurricane season in the Caribbean which leaves me a bit stumped..

Any ideas gratefully received.

What do you like to do on holiday?

YerWeeGobshite · 03/05/2019 18:35

We like a bit of time by a pool or on the beach, but like culture or history and something else to do.

Was going to suggest Cape Verde but there's very little to do. The Azores?

Thank you. Will look at The Azores.

That’s a tight budget for long haul of accommodation is included. BA sale coming up so look at flight and hotel combos. I don’t think it will get you near Dubai. Marrakesh maybe? Istanbul?

You could easily spend £600 on a long haul flight so might be a bit limited for that budget. Azores are lovely and not too expensive, you can get direct flights for £100-£200 depending on dates. Morocco would also work and plenty of good flight deals. You could also look at Egypt or Turkey.
