Travelling with a sleepyhead

So my partner, my 8m old & I are going to turkey on Friday. We’re flying with Thomas cook and baby gets an extra 10kg hold allowance, travel cot & stroller. We aren’t taking a travel cot as our hotel is providing one for us. Has anyone travelled with a sleepyhead? I don’t know whether it needs to be dismantled and put into one of our cases which I can imagine to be very bulky or wherever it would be classed as a travel cot? I’m taking dd’s nappy bag as my hand luggage and my partner will have a little case for hand luggage too.

What are you doing with the stroller? We packed our sleepyhead in a buggy bag once.

I don’t see why you couldn’t class it as a travel cot. Just wrap it up properly so it doesn’t get damaged and put it in the hold.

We just took a really big suitcase and put it in on top - it doesn’t weigh much.

I bought a stroller hold bag from amazon and took the stroller up to the gate... then snuck a little booster seat, a huge thick fleece blanket (for floor time) and another little handful of clothes in it at the last minute as I was so so tight on luggage allowance. I'd be careful though as my stroller bag got a big tear in it so I'd wrap the sleepyhead up very well!

Yeah we told checkin it was a travel cot and labelled it fragile. Packed it in its carry bag with cardboard either side and shoved a few bits of baby clothing in there too 😂

We put ours inside a big case. Baby won't need many clothes in turkey anyway.
