We will be staying in County Kildare and are hiring a car. I've been to Dublin numerous times so want to focus on seeing other places on this trip, can you recommend anywhere please? Thank you

How long do you have? Is it day trips you are thinking about or a few nights in different counties?

Down to the Dolmen in Carlow and on to Avoca.

Galway is lovely.
The burren and connemara are near and very beautiful.

Kerry is absolutely stunning, but might be a longer drive for you.

Cork is great if you wanted a night somewhere else. Claire is lovely and is beside the sea, lots of beautiful coastlines and cliffs. Limerick is on the way there, and is the home of Munster rugby and has some nice restaurants if you stop in the city.

If you want to stay near Kildare I found this website: www.irelandbeforeyoudie.com/5-amazing-non-touristy-things-to-do-see-in-kildare/
(I am not from there so I don't know how good the advice is on the website though.)

I hope you have a great time.

Glendalough in Wicklow and Powerscourt are not too far from Kildare.
Kilkenny is lovely too.
