Unheated pool in Mallorca next week...??

We're going to Mallorca next week and have a villa wirh a lovely looking pool. But it's suddenly occurred to me it may be too cold to swim in! Dc are 4 and 2 and not keen on cold water, as I'm not. Are wetsuits worth it to make it bearable?? Anyone swum at this time of year? Now wishing we'd not bothered with a pool as I'll worry they'll fall in without even being able to use it!

Brrr, I wouldn't! I don't like an unheated pool in the middle of summer though Grin. The weather forecast looks to be about 20 degrees. Wetsuits might make it ok for the kids (and I would make DH go in with them!)

Was way too cold when we went this time of year a while back. Sea was ok but pool was icy.

We were there at Easter and the pool and sea were icy. Some hardy folk were swimming and some had wetsuits, so might be worth taking some cheap ones.

We went end of May and had an unheated pool. DD was just under 4 and had a full blown neoprene wetsuit which worked.

DH went in with DD and by the end of the two weeks holiday DD could actually swim.

The sea was warmer than the pool though.

Too cold. Very optimistic hoping for a hot holiday this early in the year.

I dont know about Mallorca, but the temperatures by me are minimium overnights of 20C, rising into the 30s during the day. Out of the sun, or if the wind picks up, it's cool swimming in the (very deep) unheated pool.
I think id go for a wetsuit.
