We are thinking of going on friday. Is it worth the entrance fee?

no, imo

ChudleyMintonCanons · 16/07/2007 21:33

no idea - £40 would buy a lot of chocolate
Have a search for a discount - here's one

MrsSlowLearner · 16/07/2007 21:34

no

bagpuss · 16/07/2007 21:39

No. DCs do still talk favourably about our visit but it was very expensive for what it was.

BethAndHerBrood · 16/07/2007 21:41

Oh dear! That's not what I was expecting!!

We liked it. Go on a nice day and take a picnic.

Hi
WE found it expensive but on our way to Blackpool at the time so we had to stop.(chocolate lovers)
My son has not stopped asking if he can go back and if it was not such a long way we would.
I think if you live nearish go but not if you have to travel far.Look for other things in area to make trip worth it.
If you go enjoy the 4 bars FREE they give you at the start.

BethAndHerBrood · 17/07/2007 20:37

We are going past it on friday on the way to something else, we're not going especially. We thought it would fill the day in a bit. I also found a soft play mentioned in the archives, so we might give that a go as well.

Thanks for all your replies.

If you can go there by train (Central or Chiltern Railways), you can get a reduced price entrance (adults £8.90, kids £6.10) if bought with train ticket:
www.nationalrail.co.uk/promotions/e0bb6f68c35ce74100fdd93fa2b9b532.html

This site is also great for a number of other discounted attractions around the UK.

No, imo. We queued for almost as long as we spent inside.

AllyH · 18/07/2007 14:26

You can use Tesco clubcard vouchers - always worth it as you don't feel like you're spending money then, with £2.50 in vouchers worth £10, you would only need £10 of vouchers - worth a try!
