Canaries or Cyprus in late October?

We’re thinking about going away for the late October half term this year. Does anyone know whether the Canaries or Cyprus would be better in terms of guaranteed sunshine and water temperatures warm enough to swim?

We went to Lanzarote last October and had one day of really heavy downpour and otherwise mid twenties. You could still be at the pool in swimwear but needed a cardigan, light jacket in the evening. The wind could get fresh and then I got a top out of i wasn’t sitting really sheltered.

We will go this year to Cyprus, weather is suppose to be stable with again mid twenties but our focus this year is on sight seeing, so I am less concerned if we can’t stay all day in a bikini.

I would say Canaries. My sister lives in Cyprus and they had lot of bad weather late last October. It just depends really on luck.

Thanks all. I know there are no guarantees for the weather (we got rained on for 2 days in Majorca in August!) but I thought I’d do a straw poll anyway Smile.
