What to take away.. First holiday, 2.5 yo & 10 mo old.. 1 week, hot country?! The essentials!!

Never been away with children before, it is going to be around 30 degrees, for one week and trying not to take loads, just the essentials as I have travel cot and buggy to take also!! Any tips??? Oh.. and partners first time flying aswell as kids!!!

How about a little cabana tent to keep the sun off?

My best tip is to spread everyone's clothes between all suitcases so that if one goes missing you don't have one person with no clothes for 48 hours!!

Calpol and rehydration stuff. Agree with lurkylou about spreading the clothes, I do that and DH thinks it's odd.

you'd be amazed at the number of suitcases that don't make it to the correct destination and even more amazed at the number of families that pack a separate suitcase for each person - crazy.

Especially crazy if you go somewhere with charter flights from the UK one day a week!!!!!!!!!
