I am travelling to NY at the end of Aug with my DS who will be 12wks old. We have a quinny buzz and will be taking it with us has anyone ever had problems checking buggies this size the baggage info says fully collapsible which it is but am worried as i know how pedantic airline staff can be.

don't worry I'm sure you won't have any problems. I took a jane powertwin with two car seats and no one batted an eyelid at it.

I am sure it will be fine. I took a Britax travel system buggy on holiday which is pretty big and heavy and nothing was mentioned.

Just make sure they tag it for you. The check in staff forgot on our return journey and we had to wait at the gate whilst they got a tag!

shouldn't be a problem with checking it in, but have had problems collecting buggies on the other end, becuse they promise it will be first off the plane and it never is things only got easier when we got a smally umbrella buggy that you can take onto the plane and have the cabin crew store in the cuboard for you and then collect as you get off the plane rather than have to juggle carry on and baby whist trying to grab luggage off the carosel.

As others said, should be fine (last flight we checked in a pushchair plus 2 car seats) - but you'll probably have to walk for miles at the other end before you get it back. Do you have a sling you could carry DS in?

Can anybody share their experiences of taking a Quinny Buzz and car seat on a plane?
I'm in a situation v similar to Juliewoolie was in August - travelling to NY in November with DS who will be 9 weeks old.

I'd virtually made up my mind not to bring the push-chair and opt for just a baby carrier but now I'm having second thoughts and may bring both. Help me decide based on past experiences please

I forgot to mention, we'll be flying BA

They will put your Buzz in the hold, so you probably wouldn't get it back until baggage reclaim. Then when you disembark you will need to carry a baby, a car seat and your hand luggage all the way to baggage, which can be a long walk.
