Is Majorca in July too hot with little kids?

Thinking of booking a villa holiday in Majorca for early July - 2 dc, ages 3 and 1.

I’m worried it might be too hot to enjoy it. Not just for the kids but me as well - I wilt in the sun which would be fine if I can lie on a lounger and read a book but clearly with two young kids that’s not going to happen!

Does anyone have any experience / advice they can share?

I went to Palma Nova last July with a ginger nearly two year old. The mornings and evenings were manageable. We were on the beach until about eleven then we would get cleaned up, eat, he’d sleep in his buggy for a couple of hours while we sat in a bar watching the tennis then he’d wander with us round the shops and maybe back to the beach or a playpark. The biggest hassle was bedtime as he wasn’t used to sleeping in the heat and he was having too much fun to want to drop off. We took the bus to Palma one day and it was hell. Far too busy and hot for us. But it was a bit cooler by the sea and he loved being on the beach every day.

I would go. But then I live somewhere that’s every bit as hot as Majorca in July. Just book somewhere with a/c, do the beach in the morning and then keep the kids out of the midday sun with a nice lunch in the shade followed by a nap for your youngest and if your elder child has dropped theirs then plan some activities in the shade/indoors for them- pretty much exactly as Autumn has suggested.
