Looking at booking a holiday in Sardinia for July 19. Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Baia Di Conti in Alghero? I discovered there was a large outbreak of hand, foot and mouth there in September 18 from reviews on TripAdvisor. Wondering whether to risk it. My kids aren’t babies either 12 & 11 but still a concern?! Advice welcome. TIA.

Hi we stayed here for two weeks last August. Oblivious to the outbreak, everything was scrupulously clean so surprised.

My DC were 11 & 14 and I think a little too old for the hotel, which was much more aimed at youngsters. The beach, however, was AMAZING. We hired a boat, a car etc and had a lovely holiday.
