Efteling at Christmas?

Has anyone gone to Efteling during their Christmas period? I can imagine Disney over Christmas but trying to work out if this might be a nice time to go?!

Yep, we went and it was great! We stayed at Bosrijk (sp?!) in an apartment for two nights and then had a night in Amsterdam. There were no queues and the weather wasn’t too bad - no rain and not cold. There’s a big ice rink and Christmassy parties.

And my children are still talking about it!

No, we went at Easter and it was brilliant. The hotel was great fun.

Oh super, thanks for that. I can't see what's not to like there and I think the kids are good ages. Now to persuade DH...

OP following. I've been in summer but never winter. Some ride's are closed, included one of my child's favourite.
I'm looking at new years, but the prices are not released yet.

I'd love to try winter efteling though!

I'm confused have you Been before?

I think summer is best time when extra hours open.

It's beautiful theme park. I've been to Disney and at Xmas it's lovely. But I imagine efteling is better

The water ride was shut but that was it. There were loads of fires everywhere- very cosy and Christmassy! We got a good deal booking early too

@eateneasterchocsalready

No, never been! But just seen a gap in diaries just before Christmas and wondering if it's a good mini break for us!

Thanks for your perspective!! I'm looking at 2 nights and it's just over 400 Euros for Bosrijk which seems reasonable - am assuming it includes tickets.

Yes it will include tickets and the day you arrive and leave so probably 3 day for 2 nights
Bosrick is really lovely! Very atmospheric.

I guess you could get a feel for it and go back in summer if you liked it.
