Alton towers hotels

My son wants to stay overnight at Alton towers for his birthday - can anyone recommend which hotel was good for them? He will be 10.

We just stayed at woodland lodges for my son birthday, the environment was fantastic and amazing... but don't know why my daughter said not really like there, seems a bit horrible place... I thought maybe the lightning problem!!
And I booked the birthday package as well, it's charged about £35, just three ballon, bear stuff and one cake, important thing was no provided the cutlery and plates... quite funny... didn't feel any surprised on it...

We went to splash hotel to play a moment quite interesting hotel.

Secret garden restaurant just so so...
Rollarroaster restaurant quite special environment but the food not as good as we want!!

But still can go next time ...
