We go away next month and my daughter will have just turned 6 months. Is it safe to give her cool boiled water through out the day to keep her cool? & can we give her cold bottles? (Usually have the perfect prep machine at home so the powder is sterilised but Lanzarote will be too hot)

Water for babies over 6 months doesn't need to be boiled. If buying bottled water, try to use water that's low in sodium and sulphates. Look for Na (sodium) and SO or SO4 (sulphate) on the label. There should be 200mg or less of Na per litre, and no more than 250mg of SO or SO4 per litre.

I always gave my dd her milk at room temperature. I would put the water in the bottles, then leave them on the side until I needed them, and would add the formula then. I did this because she seemed to prefer it this way (she always drank more, anyway). My health visitor said that was fine, if thats what worked for us.
At a guess, I would say COLD milk is perhaps not great for your LO, but is that what you actually mean? Or by 'cold' do you just mean not heated up?

Ricekrispie22 - yeah I meant just not warmed up! Just worried as the powder needs to be sterilised apparently!
