Been to Florida snd California but missed San Diego which gets a good write up. Need to book for this Summer, we are flying into Boston for 5 days in New Hampshire but then have to decide on SD or Florida.

Also recommendations on best beaches/places to stay.

How long is it for? Whereabouts in Florida? A flight from Boston to SD will be about as long as the flight from the UK to Boston (6.5 hours) so take that into consideration if you only have a short amount of time. But it’s like asking whether to go to Japan or Spain - they are both completely different. Florida is a large state - what are you looking for? What would you be doing in SD? Odd choice...for us it’s just a busy hectic border city and can’t imagine why anyone would fly all the way from the UK for it. There are much more interesting places in this country.

Having been to SD, we were really disappointed. It wasn’t great. Many reports are just wrong or one dimensional. If you are in Boston, why not go to Cape Cod for the beach part or go up the coast from Boston. Much nicer weather too! Most locals from Florida with any money will have fled to cooler parts in the summer!

Already did Cape Cod a few years ago. We’ve decided on Florida - just trying to work out an itinerary for 25/16 days. Thinking of Miami, Key West and Key Largo, Orlando and finishing arounf Flagler Beach
