Nice Hotels in Sorrento

Can anyone recommend any nice hotels in Sorrento? DH and I are thinking of having a week there at end end of July/beginning of August. (restricted to these times as both work in schools). This will be our first holiday without our DS so looking forward to exploring without a whinging teenager (whilst also feeling sad he won’t be with us 😢).

If possible get one with a view of the bay, it is absolutely stunning. Citalia are a good tour operator.

Grand Ambasciatori, is a nice sea front property. Excelsior Vittoria and Bellevue Syrene are both lovely, but a much higher price bracket than the first. All very nice, just depends on budget.

Thank you both for your replies. We have found what looks to be a lovely smallish hotel overlooking the bay. The tripadvisor reviews look good so fingers crossed! Looking forward to it now.

Ah, lucky you, I loved Sorrento, had my honeymoon there 23 years ago and would love to go back. We stayed at the Imperial Tramontano which was lovely if a little on the “faded glamour” side!

Looks like you're sorted. We stayed at the admiral which may be what you've chosen? Great place

Icequeen01 · 02/05/2019 22:12

@miggeldysthepres No, we haven’t booked the Admiral. It’s called the Minerva. We are really looking forward to going as Pompeii is somewhere we have always wanted to go but DS was horrified at the thought of “walking around a load of old ruins”! 🙄

Pompeli is fab .Enjoy .

Pompeii is a must, as is walking up Vesuvius.
Be aware that the island of Capri now has strict recycling laws and you are not allowed to take plastic bottles onto the island.
