DLP - best restaurants/timings with teen DD

DD(14) and I are heading to DLP for 2 nights in a few weeks. We are staying at Newport Bay and have booked half board plus.

Am after suggestions for best places to eat with DD and thoughts on timings.

Day 1 - we'll arrive in the park around 14.30. We'll eat on Eurostar on way. Was thinking of parade then heading to eat afterwards/pre illuminations - maybe at hotel?

Day 2 will be in either park.

We've been before when DC were younger but focussed on the character dining then (Inventions, Auberge).

Are buffets the way to go? Any recommendations?

Inventions. We love it. Good food, views of the castle and characters. It’s a buffet style. Just lovely.

I don’t think you can go wrong with character dining.

Have you done buffalo bills?

Blastandtroph · 13/04/2019 16:13

@TheCaddy yes we did Buffalo Bills last time.

I don't think you can do Inventions as part of the plus half board, think it's premier only though guess we could pay the difference.

The Newport Bay has a couple of restaurants. Be interested to hear if anyone has been to these.

If you’ve paid for half board plus, I’d use it and go to table service restaurants, otherwise you could’ve just booked standard half board- which only includes buffets. Maybe the Chez Remey next to Ratatouille ride? I haven’t tried it but would’ve done if on your meal plan.

Thanks @JDSTER. We had to pay for the plus HB as staying at Newport Bay. Chez Remy checked out and booked! We are going for the buffet in our hotel on the other night - Cape Cod.
