Hi, I am looking to see if anyone has booked a trip to Borneo via a travel agent and if so which one did you use? We know what we want to do, but booking it ourselves seems like such a big task so was wondering if just going via a specialist would be the best thing to do? Would appreciate any advice.

I booked it myself - deciding what to do was the hardest. Booking was reasonably straightforward. We had 17 days in Sabah. Very easy to travel around.

We booked with Southall travel and also got quotes from Travelbag. They built the trip around our requests and it was perfect and hassle free.

Easy to book main international flights yourself and resort hotels. For travel in between look at one of the local companies on tripadvisor

We booked with Audrey travel and had an amazing trip, would highly recommend. Highlights of the trip were Danum valley- Borneo rainforest lodge, river lodge in the Kinabatangan river and also Lankayan island. We had a stopover city break in KL too. Have a wonderful time OP!

Meant to say - booking with an agent meant they sorted all the internal transfers, drivers, flights etc and made life so much easier. We just got an itinerary to follow and everything else taken care of. Wouldn’t hesitate to take this approach again- definitely worth it.
