Hotel recommendations for Barcelona

My DH and I are visiting Barcelona in November, staying for 4 nights. We wish to stay somewhere near Parc Guell. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel with character, not impersonal, not backpacker hostel, 4* rating?

We stay somewhere different each time we go. Not much help sorry! If you have a look on last minute.com there are some crackers!

Alternatively- there are some gorgeous air b n b in the gothic quarter that are maid serviced- can't get better in my opinion- genuine Barcelona ancient flats with character and style, and able to take advantage of real food ( coffee and pan tomate in the morning, a menu del dia in the evening and pinxos across the city throughout)
