Flying to Malaga or Faro - anyone found good resort that has other children for 3yo to play with?

Have narrowed my flights going from Glasgow to either Malaga or Faro - they have the best morning flight times. Can't face late afternoon/evening flights with 3yo.
We were in lovely apartment in June in Marbella - but not many children for ds to play with. Maybe too early in season.
or are there any resorts that have kids clubs or are near the beach that we could go every day and meet other kids?

Benalmadena is a good resort for kids

There is a First Choice holiday village there which ticks all your boxes and the area is very child friendly, there is a zoo, cable car and small theme park called Tivoli really near by so attracts families to the area
