Alcudia - shuttle or private taxi?!

For context- august summer holiday in majorca

We’re going on our first family holiday abroad with a 3 year old and 9 year old. The company we’re going with have a shuttle transfer service for £75 which is a return service. However our flight arrives at 8pm and i’m thinking after a flight / waiting for luggage it would be alot easier & quicker to get a taxi. The company offer a taxi service for £345! Also a return.

Is that a ridiculous price? Would i be better off booking a local taxi once there? It’s approx 39 minutes in a car / 50km from the airport to hotel. Does anyone have any experience with spanish taxis?

expensive for both options if you look at something like Hoppa for transfers. If happier with private transfer then just book online rather than joining queue at airport

We stayed in Alcudia last summer and decided on car hire in the end - got a deal for the week for about £200, so might be worth looking into.

it's around an hour drive, so I would suggest shuttle. Not sure where they get the 39 minutes from! I have done that journey more than once and it's quite a long one.

We were there recently and hired a car, it’s quite an easy drive.
