Where do you go?

You've got a month off in either September or November.

You are single, no children, and are flexible on budget.

Where would you go?

Morocco!

ThereIsIron · 03/04/2019 14:24

Australia & New Zealand for starters

ToothlessReg · 03/04/2019 14:24

Indonesia! Easy to travel around, good backpacker trail so plenty of opportunities to meet others, and tons to do and see.
Might also stop off in Singapore on the way, and include a hop over to Borneo to see orangutans...

I'm from NZ originally so that's out! But you should go, it's great.

Would you spend a month in one place to really get a feel for the country or would you hop around and try and fit a lot in?

The only places I've really seen a lot of are Italy, Belgium and Croatia. Most other countries I've only done one or two cities.

September I'd do the ancient sites of Egypt, Rome and Athens.
Or travel around Canada/N America or S America.
Or do a cruise to the arctic circle and see the northern lights.

I'd go somewhere completely new and different. The Silk route! Tashkent, Samarkand (so?), Kazakhstan. Central Asia slowly. Or Indonesia, went for a month and loved it.

TheExtraGuineaPig · 11/04/2019 00:08

September - I'd fancy Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro etc.. pootling around off the beaten track.

November- Vietnam

MinnieMountain · 11/04/2019 06:59

Island hopping in Greece in September.
Interrailing.

Gosh a month sound so lovely but not long enough.
I think I’d either be tempted by the hidden spots of Europe and do my own grand tour or plump for maybe Africa as I haven’t seen much of it and there’s such variety. I’d do North Africa with Morocco and Egypt, maybe Namibia and Malawi then finish off in the south. Might do Madagascar if money allowed.

Central America, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama loads of Mayan sites to see, cloud forest, jungle, volcanos, hot springs and beaches.

ShanghaiDiva · 11/04/2019 07:21

November - Cambodia and Vietnam

SingaSong12 · 11/04/2019 07:24

November India, Cambodia,
September US or I’ve never been to any of the countries in South America so I’d research that.

juneau · 11/04/2019 15:41

Sept - Greek Island hopping, travelling around Spain, coast-to-coast US, driving around France - any of those would be lovely.

November - starting to get cold and rather dark in Europe so I'd probably head somewhere more exotic like central America or southeast Asia.
