Do I pay for a taxi from airport to hotel?

Hi - we've booked a 10 day holiday in Majorca in September for me, SP and DD (18 months). The hotel is 2 hours by coach from the airport - we are now wondering if it's worth an extra £150 to get a taxi for the three of us instead? The idea of sitting on a coach with a wriggly toddler isn't the ideal way to start a holiday is it?

Anyone have any advice?

Have a look for a local travel agent out there - they'll be abl to get you a much better price on a taxi. We paid about £60 in Corfu a couple of year ago for a similar journey. Don't forget to check on car seats too.

We hire a car at the airport instead because it costs the same as a taxi and then you've got use of it all week as well

I worked for a company that organised transfers It is worth it if you can't bear the idea of sitting on a coach. Best to book through a travel agent though, you'll get it cheaper. And I don't think most transfer companies provide car seats - they will recommend you take your own.

£150 is that the tour operator's rate, you may as well hire a car ! Have you tried getting a quote from here and you can prebook a child seat (ours was in vgc).

I am with canmummy, I would rent a car. It is more convenient and if you need to stop and take a break it is not going to cost more. Plus, renting a car is one fee for the car, not a per passenger fee.
