Has anyone stayed in the Olympic Lagoon resorts in Cyprus? Have been looking at the one in Paphos & Ayia Napa but not sure which one is best? Has anyone been to a wedding in either?

I've stayed in the Ayia Napa one. It was lovely although not much around the hotel apart from a decent water park.
Lots of areas adult only. We had 17 and 15 year old DC for whom we paid full adult price and yet they couldn't use all the pools or restaurants.
There were a lot of weddings. People in wedding outfits in 35C heat Confused Slightly spoiled the holiday feel for me as you often felt like an uninvited guests at other people's weddings.

Thanks HoozThatGirl
We will have DD with us who will be 2 so I wasn't sure if it was worth going there or if it was mostly adult only bits in the hotel. I wouldn't be impressed at being 17, paying full price and not being able to use the adult only restaurants/pools! May not be that great for us if there isn't much around, dp doesn't really like just laying about and likes to look around places.
I know someone who was thinking about getting married there too, so I wasn't sure if the weddings were held in a separate part of the hotel or if they were in the main restaurants etc.

I haven't been to the Paphos one but certainly Paphos has more to see and do than the other.
Ayia Napa is very much a clubbing destination rather than a family resort. However the Olympic Lagoon is not in the resort itself it's in Nissi Bay which has fabulous beaches but not much else other than luxury hotels. The roads are excellent and if you had a car you could go to Nicosia.
The hotel did have pools for little ones and a lazy river which was lovely. Also some cheesy family entertainment which was more suited to little ones.

Thanks HoozThatGirl I think I'm edging more to the Paphos one for that reason just so we could maybe go out and about.
Glad to hear the roads are ok though when I've seen it on tv the roads look awful! Was the food nice?

Roads were fine when we last went about five years ago, and they drive on the left Wink.
AI suited us with unfillable teenage boys but Cypriot food is fabulous and one reason I would never go AI if I went there again.

The location of the Paphos one is great, by the sea, lovely promenade walk near shops, restaurants etc.
